Artist > Album > Disc > Track

or in my case:

DJ Tiesto > In Search of Sunrise > Disc 1 > Track 1

I currently have a Sony HD5 and it doesnt recognize disc numbers, therefor my albums would have to be renamed 'In Search of Sunrise CD1' otherwise both discs get mixed together and the track orders are as follows; 1,1,2,2,3,3,etc. As you can see, a continuous liveset would have the tracks completely out of order.

Does the Cowon S9 recognize Disc numbers (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3, etc)? If so, how are they displayed when browsing through tracks if the album with all discs is tagged under the same name? Would the tracks appear like this:

DJ Tiesto > In Search Of Sunrise > Track 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Track 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8......

im sorry nobody who knows more is going to answer your question, so ill try.

the cowon s9 supports ID3tag, yes. if that's your issue. it will only display the album art correctly if that album is tagged right. so im guessing if everything is tagged correctly, then you should be fine. don't hold me to it though.

Possible to disable the blank album art during music playback? Most of my songs are ID3 tagless

I think Claw's UI pack has that option, though I'm not sure what it does, since I don't use that function, but I've seen it in 'user settings'.

Is it possible to listen to music/watch a movie while the battery is charging?

Not when connected to a PC. It needs 1000 mA (I think) to do both @ the same time, so you need an charger of > 1000 mA

Praise where praise is due, I said before to mf1232 that this thread was a good idea, and I still do.

I'm going on a trip to LA soon, and want a player with more storage to get me through the flight. 16GB seems like enough that I'd not worry about storage ona portable palyer again, and the price is almost low enough that my wife might not kill me. But I don't make a lot and want to know before I buy, How big is the S9 compared to my Meizu Miniplayer? Has there been any firmware updates? How do people like the UI? Can I just drag and drop folders from my PC (I don't use WMP or Itunes and I don't want to) and have that work okay? Also, I saw some of that review, can I seriously drop SWFs from my PC and play them on it? Like games and stuff? That would be amazing. I know that functionality could never be perfect because Adobe, but if it even mostly worked I would be thrilled. And can it play FLV (Not sure if I'll actually use that, but, it'd be really neat)? Also can I set images as wallpapers like the miniplayer? If they aren't the same aspect ratio will it stretch or center them? If the are the right dimensions will it shrink them and look okay? Also what has real experience with battery life been like?

idk about Meizu Miniplayers, but i can answer a few of your questions. there has been frequent firmware updates since it's release, there have been about 8 firmware updates that i can remember. i personally like the UI, though some people have trouble with it at first. it can be confusing at times, but once you actually start to use the player, you'll find yourself zipping right along through menus, folders, etc. Yes it has MSC mode, so you can just drag and drop things to it. also it does support .swf, flash games, animations, etc. just make sure they're not too complicated. if you go to the games/apps/utilities sub-forum of the s9 here on abi, you'll find games and such. i don't know about .FLV. and yes you can also set images as wallpapers, though it does not resize it to be perfect. you'll have to do that yourself with photoshop or something else for specific wallpaper purposes if you want. 272x480. (WxH). battery life, very good. though i recommend charging it completely before real use when you first get it. i just got mine yesterday, and i only charged it a little more than an hour last night, and today at school, i probably used it for a little more than an hour again, and it seemed like the battery life was wasting away, though im sure if i had let it charge through, it would have been fine...so im charging it all the way now...

For all asking questions about charger options, I've used an iPod charger, a Zune charger, and a Sony charger. All charger my S9 without a problem, and also allowed me to play tunes at the same time. All are the official branded chargers, w/no more than 5.5v, 800mah ratings. Just a FYI.

I used one at my Radioshack. It's a generic Radioshack charger but it worked as well. It's one sale for 17.99 till tomorrow. Much cheaper than the 40 dollar ipod charger! :P

All the same my friend, as some here are saying it has to have certain specific specs. Blah, any usb 2.0 wall charger will most likely work. I just didn't know any better at first, then got a few others free!!!

Also, the text viewer, is it just plaintext, or can it display formatting? As for the size, I guess I should just ask if it is going to fit in most pockets comfortably.

Don't know about the text thing, but it fits perfectly in a pocket or bag, as it's not as big as it looks in pictures.
