The Sony does have WiFI, but on a screen that small, and a pathetic resolution, I can't imagine browsing the web on that (probably biased because I have an Archos 605)

Thanks, tsuper. Sony sure has balls charging more than the Touch sells for. I expect it's price to drop when it hits the U.S. or they won't sell many. I'm waiting for the ZuneHD I guess. I already have my S9.

PLEASE DONT TELL ME THIS IS TRUE. Battery last ONLY 5 HOURs from listening to audio?!??!?!? I just saw this after I bought the cowon online just a few minutes ago!
My ZVM lasts forever! around 14s I believe!
Please dont tell me this is true. ..

30fps, same as every other (halfway decent) player on the market.

Default Website that has flashware for the S9
Somewhere someone indicated a website that has user created interfaces for the S9. I've been searching the this forum for the link, but I can't find it. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

This is a general question regarding the S9, but:

What is the consensus in terms of improvement the S9 has seen since its release? Is this a better product than it was in January, or have things can changed much?

I'm only one voice, but between new and now the S9 has improved a few thousand percent. JMHO.

That's about the right percentage. Claw's UI, gapless, h.264, touchscreen responsiveness, etc. - the S9 sure improved.

How does the S9 handle mp3 tags? I had an Archos 5old and I loved the fact that you can listen/ browse the hard drive directly and not have to listen/ browse via there crappy "library". The thing is most of my music isn't tagged (mostly vinyl) and can't find a good program to batch tag the half of a TB of lossless music. Does the S9 have this capability to listen/ browse via the hard drive?

it does, but its obviously not going to be half a terabyte on there.

Thank you gebal.

I didn't expect it to hold all my music. I was just wondering if I could browse the original folder structure through the drive and not have to go through a huge list of unknown artist, unknown album; that I get from Archos' archlib and Zune 30gb (a reason I stopped using Zune). I am glad it does let you browse using the structure you build when copying files over.

its what we're here for
Folder browsing on it is quite fast as well, except on the images browser. Its certainly a useful way to look for me when I pick up quick downloads and forget to rename them

I've never owned any Cowon products yet...

Since S9 is going to be discontinued soon...I'm just waiting for a price drop to pounce on it...
