Hi all,
I have some questions related to this player: 1) Can I make it to automatically play on turn-on? 2) To pause the music, I need to press the play/pause button twice (once to turn on the display, then to actually pause the music). Can this be overcome? Thanks, J.M. |

I own a T10, and I'd assume that the two are very similar. After all, the interface stayed the same through the T50, then the icons were modified for the T60.
1) On my T10, no. It remembers where you left off in a track when you turned the player off(when Resume is on - advanced section in options) when you turn the device back on, though. This is helpful if you left off in the middle of a track and want to resume from there. 2) Don't believe so. People have complained about this on all iriver devices, so I would assume the T60 is no different and that there is no way around pressing the button twice. (My t10 is the same, btw) Relyt

Thanks, somewhat good to hear that they are common "problems" of iriver players.
Also, the battery indicator is somewhat funky, I use rechargeable battery, on the "rechargeable" setting it shows "empty" while the battery is still more than half full, on "alkaline" it just shows two bars all the time until the last 15 minutes when it falls quickly... This wouldn't bother me so much if the player did actually save the song position (or at least attempt to do so) before it quits. |

Also - sorry to hear about the battery. Not having those problems.

I meant it doesn't save the position when the battery runs dead. Its no big deal but gets annoying e.g. when I listen to a trance mix (they are over an our long) and then must seek those 50 minutes again...

One thing you could do is start seeking from the end and go backwards. That would save you time!
I believe that my T10 saves the song, but not the position, when the battery dies.

Okay, one more question, can I display the files in alphabetical order? I heard somewhere (dont rermember where) that you can use some app with the player connected to change this, is this true?
I tried changing the "created" and "modified" dates on the files, but taht didn't do anything. |

Not that I know of. Never heard of an app.
The player only displays in first on, first shown olny.

You can sort the files with iriver plus 3, available for download from iriver.

That always is an option. Reorganize your files on the computer, then recopy them all onto the device.

Yeah I already discovered that software, but there is no automatic sort option, you have to move hundreds of files by hand, while repeating the alphabet in your head oveer and over...

If you click on the top of the column, it will automatically sort the songs alphabetically.
