Hey guys thought I'd share the new utility I've been working on for making playlists in MSC mode.
Features: Create playlist from files on the player or from copied content. Edit and Rename playlist. Copy files, folders and playlist (m3u and wpl) to player. Copies album art with the option to resize to 250 x 250 as it copied. Merge multiple plalist on player into a new list. Supports modifiying or renaming Go List Requires Windows Xp or Vista (but not the .NET framework) Dowload here http://www.hcware.net/sansa Screenshot

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. At first glance (I only had about 10 min) this program looks great! It's what I've been waiting for. I'm a new user and dealing with Rhapsody, MM and the other softwares have been cumbersome. Your software seems simple and easy. I like playlists and modifying them right on the player seems to be what makes sense to this newbie. It avoids duplicates (I had a problem with Rhapsody) and files that aren't read, etc. So, thanks again. Please let us know if you find glitches or make a new version. And, thanks for taking the time to make a free application for us Sansa users.

Nice work.
Do you plan to make this software available as open source? |

This look awesome. I am so sick of trying to get my album art with my files. And yes I have gone through EVERY single one to make sure it is there. I get some to sync over to the sansa and some don't. Maybe with this it will work like it is supposed to.

Thank you, I was able to create a playlist of files already on the Sansa.
The only issue I had is that it did not list any of my tags. It presented me with a list of all the filenames but not Title, Artists, Album, etc. All my songs are tagged properly (I think) and all the tags show up on the Sansa. And, exploring the Sansa with my file manager shows all the tags. But, not tags shown in the Sanse Playlister. |

Thankyou, finally this is a solution for my problems of getting a list to appear. WMP11 just wouldnt work. After hours of fighting with WMP10 managed to put just 2 playlists on there, didnt even know how i did it or could do it again. Anyway this handy utility seems to work so thankyou

For instance at the present time I’m using the Windows shell to read the tags but am working on integrating it into the app so it’ll work with Win98 |

If you can read the tags with your file manager (you mean windows explorer right?) it should have picked up the tag info since I’m using the Windows Shell to read the tags (in other word if windows can read the tag so should the playlister). First try reseting the database (on the menu under file > reset database) and try updating the player info again, if still no joy try making a playlist then double click on it in the playlister and see if when it opens the list consist of titles (it should) or filenames. Please let me know the results and if possible could you send me one of your files it won’t read at the e-mail address listed in the help file section on reporting bugs. |

Playlister works great, best one I've used yet!!! Thanks for the hard work. I know you said you may not be updating this but if you do.. is it possible to allow it to change the id3 tags and info from inside the program? The only way I know to update tags is to change them on my comp and reload all the updated files back to the Sansa.

I'd recommend using a tagger like Mp3tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en just point it to the Sansa's hidden MUSIC folder and it'll let you edit the tags on the player (I just tried it and yep it works). BTW I am working on a few updates (making it resizable is a priority) but not sure when the new version will be ready. |

Hi, I just installed your program and it works great. The other programs I tried from the forums had various bugs which would prevent me from using them.
Anyhow, I have what's hopefully a small feature request. I don't see any way to stretch/resize the window. I see that you can resize the pane where the playlist is, but not the whole window. In fact, you can't even maximize the window. I have plenty of room to make the viewing area bigger which would allow me to see more at once. Is it possible to enable this? The ability to pick and choose which fields (track, title, artist) are displayed would be nice too. Much the way Mediamonkey does. Thanks again for all your hard work. |

Anyways a resizable version is in the works as well as a few other updates and should be finished soon, but no the current version is a fixed size by design because controls used internally by the program don't resize properly. FYI you can choose the fields displayed as well as reorder them just look in the help file under 'Column Headings And Sorting The List' |
