Change function of Hold Button (power button) ?

When I use the hold button, it makes my power button a "pause button".

Can I change this?

For example, I'd like the power button to skip to the next song instead of pausing.
Is this possible?

Your only choice for Hold is to freeze just the screen or the screen and the buttons. The power/play/pause button is all it can be. For what it's worth it looks like the P3 gets next/back buttons but looses the play/pause button.

It's too bad that Samsung won't let you program a soft button.
It's not hard to do.

As for the P3, it seems like it's basically a cosmetic upgrade, with a little
minor functionality change.

The iriver SPINN has a programmable "Smart Key". You can choose from several functions to assign to it. It's a long press of the spindle wheel. None of the choices is "next" though. The cowon S9 has play/pause, Next/Prev, and vol+/- on the top edge. Even the new Touch doesn't have external Next/Prev buttons, only volume.

Well, cowon, not the s9, d2, had a feature that when the player was on hold the up and down keys became forward and back. Maybe samsung should take a cue from them and offer this feature.
