S9 Update Wishlist

For a person who is an audiobook person, 2 things:

PLAYLISTS in MSC mode (*.m3u/*.pls/*.mpcpl)
Ability to turn off tag reading.

anything else is only a bonus.

Browsing by folder and doing a little manual tag editing in MediaMonkey or something should fix this problem, surely?

Biggest issue I have:
ID tag browsing and playing does not work with boundary settings at all. The album will replay itself no matter what you set the boundary to and it won't go on to the next album/artist. This kills subscription music that is dependent on ID tags for track numbers...

The more I use s9 the more I think about onscreen hold button, it would be extremely handy! Also I missing support of word files a bit, I don't know whether it is technically possible, but this would make this pmp soooo perfect.

Some of these have been listed already, but ...
1. gapless playback
2. playlist support (m3u, pls, etc)
3. cover art support for FLAC tags - FLAC was the main reason I picked the S9

I don't see any problem with album arts on mine, even with FLAC files.

• Notepad
• Maps that utilize the zoom feature (Not just Korean - World Map?)
• Calendar (with ability to add events)
• Perhaps an address book?
• Sketchpad (nothing fancy)

Games:

• Use the G-sensor
• More from Cowon. Not enough people can use flash to build their own.

GUI:

• Better coverflow effect. Not so choppy
• More interfaces from Cowon
• General Improvements and fixing of minor errors
• Option to change the color scheme of a theme.

HD video file format support!
C'mon Cowon.. youre not fully utilizing the beautiful AMOLED screen
if you aint supporting mkv / H264 / X264.

I havent bought one yet (waiting on the 32 gb) so this will be all.
And GAPLESS really isnt needed, I dont get you people. :')

mkv/mp4 h.264/x.264 would be nice but i'm not holding my breat

If they add away to be able to watch .flv videos that we download from youtube or either video places that would make me happy also.

um.... it may not be needed. but it is indeed wanted. when im listening to Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta, (which has 9 seperate tracks made into one) then i want no gaps in the music. Its just like listening to one song. Do you really want a second of gap in one of your favorite songs? of course not. that is why i want gapless so much

You can delete from the player. Its confusing because delete button is available when you browse the library but it doesn't work in most places. It does work if you use folder browsing.

and the dictionary doesn't work for me, it freezes up and I have to restart the player

RESUME. Just like the D2, the S9 doesn't resume on startup. This is an annoyance and needs to be fixed. Even the pathetic O2 does resume on startup.

BBE Viva settings need to be usable in the 4 custom preset slots. I don't care about the muddy "stereo enhance" junk, but Viva sure sounds nice and clear.

Gapless. Well, we will never see it, but I just want to repeat what others said...

Cover flow is nonsense. It only has a slight reason to exist when you use shuffle mode (which I never do). Cover flow should just show the albums, not all tracks contained in them (at least when in non-shuffle mode).

A recently played list like my old a2. I loved that.

An to be able to enter the pass code for bluetooth devices, I read somewhere that some devices want 8888 to be entered while the s9 enters 0000 by default.

Just picked up motorola s9 bluetooth headphones and would love for that to be included.

dude, there is software to be found that can merge 'm for you on your pc..
