S9 Update Wishlist

It does ignore 'The' in ID3 browsing mode, last I checked? (Of course that's not going to work in file/folder browsing mode, since it would defeat the whole purpose of it.)

One of the new things on my top wish-list is for them to implement usb to rca lineout. I've emailed Cowon asking them if it's possible.

Not on mine for some reason - any ideas? All my files are tagged properly with mp3tag.

I checked ID3 browsing on my 2.51 S9 - you're right, it doesn't ignore 'The'. Now I'm confused, either it was in older S9 firmwares - or it was back on the D2. Since I never use ID3 browsing, my memory is fuzzy about it.

Does anyone know if it's already possible to put the sleep timer as an icon in the music/video footer bar? main menu > settings > time > Timer > Sleep mode > etc.. is just too much when half asleep...(would also be nice to be able to access the brightness options from the footer)

rds would be nice, otherwise just giving developers access to more stuff, like all 100 steps of battery info and more id3 tags

I'd apreciate rds, too. I know that most samsung mp3-players have it...

but what i actually need is a feature to pause music when i unplug my headphones... which would eventually turn off the player.
I'm just not smart enough to turn it off myself...
Sony has this option on some of their players. However I'm not sure whether this can be added through a firmware update.

RDS is a hardware feature, it has to be implemented on the FM receiver chip. It can't be added via software.

thanks dfkt, good to know. I guess Cowon feels like they need to save those $ 0.01 per device.
is there a chance of DAB-versions of the S9 or J3 being available somewhen? (i don't like resistive touchscreens... and the d2 with DAB is really overpriced)
