Default BBC iPlayer on S9

I've heard tales about being able to play downloaded BBC iPlayer content on the S9! Are these tales true or myths?

Cowon Europe/UK website says you just download it, play it in windows media player to acquire license and then fire it onto the player....no can do because you can't play the video in windows media player, you have to use BBC iPlayers desktop program!

BBC iPlayer help says to choose the option "download to portable device" which I haven't seen anywhere when downloading content!!!

So is it possible or I am doing something wrong?

In iPlayer there is a 'portable device download' option. That's the one you need, it's on the bottom right-hand-side then play for a few seconds in WMP to acquire usage rights then transfer the wmv to your player. iPlayer stuff can be watched in WMP once you've downloaded it.

It works fine for my Sony X, so there shouldn't be an issue with the S9 - I guess it can handle wmvs?
