Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision

Hi everyone!
Well, I'm looking to buy these, so I wonder if anyone has actually heard them? These seem to be improved CX300.
I didn't like the original ones because of the "all-around" bass which seemed to be hitting everywhere and everything in my ears
And when you listen to Dire Straits, that doesn't help at all.
Of course I'll be getting them from a local retailer so I can rule out fake phones.

I'm choosing between them and Philips SHE 9700.
So if you have any kind of advice, please do tell.

If anything, I'll write a review when I get them so that you all can make a good use of my experience.
