FLAC on S9 = goodness

Just tested some flac on the S9 and I have to say I'm quite impressed. My D2 always sounded "off" to me with flac, my clip/fuze always sounded more life-like and just better overall. After some A/B ing with my clip the S9 sounds very close to the clip with flac, and the S9 might even be a little better (more detail and body). This was done with both with no EQ or SE.

Just tested some FLACs v mp3s (EAC>FLAC>LAME 3,98 MP3 V2 via dBPoweramp), and I hear no difference (Shure e3c), nor did I expect to (45yo and proud that I still can hear 17kHz ...). I couldn't on the X5 either, but never heard a D2.

Overall, the S9 is making me realise how absolutely awful my Creative Zen's SQ is/was - never understood why so many reviews were positive on that point
