With four wires you have separate ground throughout the cable... it *might* be somewhat better regarding crosstalk, but prolly only for machines, not human ears. Also, you need four wires for a balanced connection. More than that is just bling.

The longer one is a six wire round braid.

@The Larch, nice IC cable Green isn’t my cup of tea but I’ve been playing around with rope and shoe lace covering myself and love the look. I just haven’t finalized one that I’m crazy about yet …

Raw Mogami Neglex 2534 Quad cable. Terminations are Canare, sealed with hot glue.
Genuine Sony ferrite ring installed for added EMI resistance.
Eh sorry about the purple fringing. Aging CCD.
