Default Sony/SonicStage problem

I have little problem. I bought one year ago mp3 player: Sony Walkman NW-E405. And the problem is that my little brother formated my storage driver,mp3 from mp3. And I don't know what to do and how to fix my mp3. Running SonicStage I have error like this: "Cannot find the OpenMG Secure Module. Exiting SonicStage". I have empty mp3 storage drive and pasting mp3 files on mp3 player display shows: "Format error".

P.S. Please help me how can I get my system back on mp3.

Ewww, SonicStage!

Okay, from the description of your problem, it sounds like you'll need to re-install SonicStage, because there's a module that it needs that is either missing or corrupted on your computer. You could also try doing a complete reformat of your MP3 player (which I believe you have to do through SonicStage, but not sure).

*blink*

Yeah... SonicStage is a real piece of work. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about it to be able to figure that one out. Hopefully someone else here may have some better insight into this problem.

Maybe some of the alternatives to the SonicStage horror might work?

you have 1 option

1) throw away and BURN all sony products in your house, then smarten up and get a REAL mp3 player, not communist DRM'd BS, Meizu M6 hint hint

i used to have sonicshˇt until i go so pissed off i smashed my MD player and DBAN'd my HDD because sonic stage crashed and took my OS with it.

sony is now permanently banned from my residence, after that i disposed or sold of any sony product. then a couple weeks after i found out about the sony root kit. i laughed...

Calm down guys, this isn't really an SS problem. daNBS's brother dicked with his system and the problem came from there as far as I can tell.

daNBS,

Unfortunately it sounds like you'll have to start from fresh. It also sounds like the mp3/Atrac files on your PC (if they're still there at all) have moved so SS can't find them. Even if your tunes are showing in SS if the 'Sony' file or your original music files have been shifted they won't play or transfer.

If you are starting from fresh you might aswell get the latest version of SonicStage. 4.2 is available here http://support.sony-europe.com/DNA/s...=NWF&m=NW-E405 (That's Sony Europe btw. Not sure if that's where you are.) You'll have import your mp3/Atrac files again as your original files are obviously corrupted.

Oh come down. Sony hardware is fine, just avoid the software.
