I've got a Sansa e260. I use MSC mode to upload and delete files.
Recently, I've come across the following problem: There are files that show up on the player, but won't show up on Windows. Meaning, I can see and play the files, but they don't show up when I access the Sansa in Windows to delete files. It's a minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. Is there anything to be done to solve this problem short of formatting the player? |

You may have to set up your windows to VIEW ALL FILES. It should be in your folder options.

I checked my folder options and it is set to show all hidden files and folders.
To clarify, I can see most of the files on the Sansa. It's just 2 files that don't show up in Windows so I can delete them. I saw something in the Sansa manual that allows file deletion in the player, but cannot find the menu or command to do this. Any other tips as to how I can force Windows to show these files or delete them in the player? |

What firmware version are you using? If you have a v2, if the music was loaded in MTP mode, you will not see them in MSC mode. Same the other way around. If you load the songs via MSC mode, you will not see them in MTP mode.
