I don't know what happened but I messed up my ability to go to next song on an album on my new d2. It was doing it, but when I initially loaded everything via Windows Media Player, including my Audible Books,it loaded the Audible books in the same folder as the Music Folder. So I had to take out the audible books and move them into Audible through Explorer, and then I moved all my music over to the SD Card. Now when I go to play music, it plays only one song on the album and thats it. It won't go to the next song. I also want it to shuffle through the songs, but of course that won't work either.
I am thinking of deleting all of the music and audible albums and starting from scratch. I have it set on MSC setting. The instruction book tells so little. Like there are three symbols on the screen when you have a sound track up. One is kind of a circle, the second two arrows crossing over each other and the third one a 1. Can someone tell me in plain English what these three symbles stand for and how they are "selected". I have been searching for answers on here but I can not find the answers I need, and without a book to explain anything, I am lost. I tried to download English version book from their site, but it hangs up on my computer and I can not complete the download. Don't know if it has anymore information or not. I also tried moving back one of the albums from the SD card to the Cowon HD, thinking maybe that was the problem, but it doesn't make a difference. It still plays just one song. |

You should have repeat set to the looped arrow figure, and not the blocked arrow figure. Check Settings on the Music Playback screen-- the blocked arrow looks like ---->|

The first box is for the Repeat function, the circle means it's ON, you want it off. The second is to activete Shuffle, your choice. The Third, the 1 that's giving you the problems, is the Boundry selector. You can choose All, 1, or Folder. To access the settings tap the screen, on the bottom you'll see Settings, the second box, tap it. Now, make you choices to adjust the items that are causing the issues. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you. That was the problem. It was set at 1 and the only way I could change it was to go into Settings and select "Factory default settings", which changed it to ALL. There was no way I could see a way to change it to shuffle, but the All will work as well. Not as well as a Playlist. Would love to be able to make one. I have tried to no avail. Any good advice on that one?

Well, I retract that. I thought it was starting to do a random play, but all it did was to continue with the next song on the album. I can not find anyway to turn shuffle on. Could it be because I loaded all my music onto the SD card? Will shuffle not work on the card. Would like to know before I go deleting all the music off of it and putting it on hard drive.
Nothing I can find under Settings or anywhere to change to Shuffle. Any advice. Getting frustrated. Manual just says to select it. OK..........HOW?????? |

have you tried going to the now playing screen, touch settings, then just touching the screen where the shuffle symbol is? the sd card shuffling works fine so that is not the issue

I was referring to the settings box that shows up on the "now playing" screen when you touch it. Look at the bottom, 2nd from the left. That's what you need to access the now playing options with. Not by going into the settings on the home screen.
See, the second box from the left, on the bottom. That's the settings you need to adjust.

Yes, that worked. How stupid of me. And to think of the hours that I messed with that and something so simple. Thank you.

The manual (page 12/13) would actually have had all that info... don't know if you tried Cowon's global site, but the download works perfectly well for me.
