I believe they're displaying in kilobits too, thus the reason pcman tests at 800 but can only get his downloads to go at 100kBps, because even though the acronym is very similar its two different measurements.

kb = kilobit, kB = kilobyte. Easy, lower- vs. uppercase.

Your upload speed is ~1.75x my download speed. It may have been asked previously but what the heck do you use your internet connection for? Linking your brain to an android or something?

Aha!! I beat everyone in the upload test! I love my FiOS 100.00MBps wired Internet......it's so lightning fast with optimized Firefox and Adblock Plus installed.

The best part... I pay 20$ a month for this speed.

Please don't tell Comcast. They don't know my modem that is supposed to get 12 Mbit is actually getting 50. With this I've been able to download literally hundreds of live concerts from here. Average time per album is like 30 seconds, thats mind blowing.

My download speed is pretty good, but cherck my upload speed:



@ Sassafras: Your upload speed can use some improvement.

EDIT: But for $20.00 per month I would settle for 1MB upload.

Darn, I new somebody would beat me. Oh well, it's better than what I used to have (really, really, really slow), Verizon was nice enough to upgrade my Internet for no extra charge after I quit my FiOS TV.

Actually, IMO a few Mb per second more doesn't matter.

I've never experienced anything faster than what I currently have, so I can't say if it actually makes a difference in browsing and download speeds. And what I currently have works for me, so I don't really care.

I hear you. I recall when I first jumped from dial up to high speed, I was on cloud 9. Back then, I jumped from dial up to 6Mb per second download, and 1Mb upload. And I back up when I said before: Even at the present speed I am at, it still doesn't feel as significient as when I first switched to high speed.

I have a decent 15 Mb/s download, but only 0.8 Mb/s upload. I wonder if theres a way to fix that.

FYI - I should point out that 50Mb was done on my laptop over WiFi. Wired connections are faster
