Can you boot into recovery mode and post your version.txt? It sounds like you have an e200R not an e200 with a beta firmware.

Did you reinstall the bootloader? It might be the beta bootloader. You have to rename the bootloader to pribootLoader.rom.

You're welcome then. I was just making sure you did not have an e200R. You can find lots of help here if you need it.

Just a little info for you, it is just hard to 100% brick the e200v1 series unless you have a big hardware issue. So you do not have have to worry about your dad tho.

ok, i have no idea where to go now. i have some huge problems and everyone's probly sick of me cause anywhere i see anything having to do with rockbox problems i've been posting something. but i have no clue. i have the beta firmware too, but i got a microSDHC card, not knowing that my e260 can't read it. so i'm trying to download rockbox. i have no clue what i did, but now when i turn it on, it shows the lil' monsta image and then flashes the rockbox image. then it cuts to a screen that says:
"Rockbox boot loader
Version: r20108-090226
SanDisk Sansa e200 series
Partition 0: 0x0B 3814 MB
partition 1: 0x84 20 MB
Loading Rockbox...
Can't load rockbox.mi4:
File not found
Can't load rockbox.e200:
File not found"
then it shuts down. can you help me?

EDIT: nevermind... my mp3 is just completely bricked now...

It is not bricked. You just forgot to put the .rockbox folder in the right location in MSC mode.
