Used Nokia N800's can go for as low as 140$. I bought a refurbished one for 170$ for my mom about 2 months ago off of expansys. 4gb cards can be bought for 10$, well atleast 2x2gb can, and the n800 does have 2 sd slots. So technicaly if you got that you could get 128gb some day, if you really really wanted to. :P

I'd say get an adapter and a screen cover.

Other option is to just forgo the touch screen for general use and get a sansa clip.

170usd is what i paid for a used, or b-grade stock n800 on a fairly well known web shop named expansys. I bought it fvrom the finnish version, www.expansys.fi but expansys has a ton of other area specific web sites.

Cheapest i've ever seen an n800 being sold there as a b-grade stock item was 98€ so near 130 usd.

Other place to try is just e-bay, loads more n800s sold there compared to expansys, but I personaly dont like the ebay way of buying things... Only use it if its buy it now or really worth it. (Like a battery dead, but otherwise functioning iRiver H320 for 50usd? totaly worth it :P)

I was just looking at the Cowon q5w, but its just too expensive...

K just made up my mind on the Archos 605, because It fits my budget, the only thing I am wondering about is that it has a Hard drive, and I know those can be very fragile if dropped. Just looking for something that will hold it in my arm (arm band)

Anyone here got anything againts the 605 before I buy?

How the heck are you going to put a video-centric, 4.3" screened player in an armband? The Archos 605 is for being stationary, not being on the move. The Archos also has crappy battery life & mediocre SQ.

Question RicOh, are you 6'4" with +30" arms? If not an armband probably wouldn't work, plus you would probably have to make one yourselfThe 605 is a larger sized video player. If bluetooth is is still a concern, get a 4g D2, a bluetooth adapter, bluetooth headphones, and a 16g sd card. That will probably come to around $250 and you'll end up with 20gb and bluetooth. And I thought the 605 came in 2 models. The 605, and the 605 wifi.

The thing I did not like about D2 is that it has no wifi.

And with wifi you can do limitless things.
Saying that, does anyone know how long battery lasts if I only do surfing the web?

The bluetooth, is just too expensive on an mp3 ATM, so I would just sacrifice that... Just not worth it right now. And I can also add it to archos mp3 later if I want.

Just feel that buying an mp3 player with wifi will be great for when I enter college in summer....

And its mostly the price.... Archos is selling the 605 80GB (more than I will ever need in my life) for 195... It can't get any better.... Anyone know why the 605 is not considered an internet tablet? while the 5 is?
