D2 for $188.32 @ Amazon, $184.99 @ Jetaudio, Is this the right time to buy?

I noticed another price drop of the D2 from about $212 to about $188. I can't remember the time frame but does anyone know why the price dropped? Is it on sale for awhile? When would we expect another price drop, black friday perhaps?

For the 16gb version I'd say "go for it". The D2 sounds and performs so well it'll be a few yrs before anything comparable comes along. And if you can get it at a great price then "yes", now is the time.

Newegg has it for 168.99$ zipzoomfly has it for 174.99$ Keep in mind that if you order from jetmall.net then you get the case with it.

Unfortunately newegg and zipzoomfly charge extra for shipping to Hawaii. Newegg is about $20+ for standard 2-day fedex shipping to Hawaii and zipzoomfly was charging about $15.

What's funny is that the Canadian NCIX sells them at a higher rate now.

When? By the end of the year? Or perhaps early next year? Perhaps if a 32 gig D2 is released soon, then the 4 gig might be discontinued, and the price of the 16 gig might drop to $149 or less. While $100 is a very important price point, $150 is also an important price point. First the 4 gig D2 dropped under $150, next the 8 gig, now some may be waiting for the 16 gig to drop under $150. It will be interesting when a 32 gig D2 is under $200. I wonder when we will see that? I guess it might also take some time for a decent class 6 32 gig SD card to drop to under $100.

S9 and O2 will take care of the 32GB market. If they were making a 32GB D2 it would already be out there, especially now that the D2 prices are dropping.
