Winamp still thinks it needs to transcode FLAC and OGG... hmmm... probably just a Winamp issue... still annoying tho.

OK, I haven't been able to get a single FLAC or OGG file onto my fuze after the update via Winamp or Drag & drop. Just curious, what are you guys using to get these files onto your Fuzes? Do I need to switch modes?

I use Winamp in MTP mode pretty much exclusively.

Christophersisk, are you sure you are firmware version 1.01.15? I am just double checking. If so, can you try MSC mode then? I am not sure MTP works with FLAC or Ogg Vorbis, yet, because I do not have a Fuze to test it.

Definitely on 1.01.15 ... enjoying the new list wrapping and new screens ... I'll try MSC and report back later. Thanks.

In MSC mode, Drag & Drop is working for both FLAC and OGG ... Winamp, however, still says the file is incompatible. Sigh...

I just like being able to just hit "Send to..." in Winamp while I'm listening to something to put it on the Fuze... I also like how Winamp displays the Internal and External memory separately and distinguishes between the music and video content on both.

I also like its method of displaying the contents of my music library as opposed to MediaMonkey's drill-down approach and iTunes' bloated everything-or-nothing approach.

I'll just stick with Winamp in MTP mode as it mostly does what I want.

I know I'm new to posting here (been reading the forums for a year or so) and I apologize if any of that sounded mean-spirited, curiouswonderer, but honestly, comments like that help out zilch and only make frustrated people more angry.

YES!! A day of re-tagging mp3s did not go to waste. Besides the upgraded playlist navigation, this is something I am really happy about. Now just have to wait for someone (or myself) to make a program to do playlist creation and editing and I will be one happy Sansa user.
it was mentioned right under New Features of their release notes

lol, sorry if i wasn't helping....

umm...maybe you could try resyncing the fuze to Winamp. I dont know the proper term (if there is one) or if its even possible, but like "reformat" Winamp, so that it doesnt have any previous history about the fuze, and then resync the two together...

Yeah, I thought about that and I tried removing the winamp cache files and added dll's in the internal and external memory. Still no go. Probably just a general MTP issue or something Winamp needs to update. If someone knows better or a good workaround, please do tell.

Very glad for the wraparound Z-A and even more glad for the ability to return to where I left off in a file after listening to the radio. I'm still annoyed by the 4m15s rebuild database time I have with my full 8 and 8GB card everytime I make one little change to the contents.

With the new .15 firmware I trusted the album art would be read from my mp3s and went ahead with deleting the 115 folder.jpg files I had in album folders. Reading art from my mp3 files so far does work. I have 128 VBR mp3s with ID3 v2.2, 2.3, and 2.4 tags and none work. I'm copying via MSC on a Mac. Art was embedded with iTunes. I even tried embedding the 200x200 px artwork and that doesn't work. I searched the fuze for a setting to toggle... nothing. What am I missing here?

I think I've noticed a problem with playback. Every once in a while I hear distortion that I would describe as a slight "flutter" to the sound. If I jump back to the same point in the song I don't hear the distortion the second time around and the problem goes away for a while. Originally I thought this was on OGG files but I just checked and at least one of them was an MP3.

right now, im liking everything except the wrap around feature isn't consistant...for example, it wraps around in the music menu, but not the settings menu...

when you reach the end of a list, it automatically circles back to the first thing in that list, and vice versa.

e.g: you get to the end of a list of songs, it scrolls back to the first song.
