I have a Samsung T-9 but it's almost full.
I know there is some new stuff out, but I'm not sure what would be best to buy.I've heard the new Nano is good, but I've generally stayed away from them and their propreitariness. I'm not sure how much I want to spend, can you answer these questions. best: deal overall $200-250 $150-200 $100-150 $75-100 $75 and under Just say what you think would be the best deal and the best in either of the questions! Please explain too ![]() Thanks -Brian |

The Sansa Clip is a great cheap player. If you want 8GB or 16GB, you can look at the Sansa Fuze, Cowon D2, and the newer Sony players.

Both WalkGood and I highly recommend the Cowon I7. The 16g is around $180. It has great SQ and the battery is rated at 60 hrs. The Sansa Fuze at around $100 dollars for 8g is probably one of the best deals around. It has good SQ and a micro SD slot so you can expand its memory. Battery life is rated at 24 hrs.

+1 for the fuze
if you r looking for "best deal", sansa's have always been the best bang for the buck player, plus the fuze have sd expandability so you never run out of space ever again=) plus, 8gb is $120 or less, thats a pretty good deal...

The D2 is one of the best players to come out since the Creative Zen Vision M

if you want sumthing more upmarket, consider the brands cowon, samsung, or sony...
out of the 3, cowon has sd expandability, samsung and sony has bluetooth, samsung (white p2 ESPECIALLY) is super elegant looking, and all 3 is of top notch quality and feature rich and awesome =D

Hmmm. I'd like a p2. Honestly that's what I want but I see no reason to purchase one. What is the samsung player one tier down from the p2? and is it any good?

I'd suggest the D2 above all. The I7 is good, but for a few dollars more you can get the D2 and its just got so many more features to it. I haven't any experience with the P2 though.

why not p2? its pretty cheap now at 150 for 4gb (probably cheaper in the usa, or online...)
one tier down would probably be T10, which in my opinion isnt nearly as good just because the touch buttons looks awkward to use

D2 vs p2 vz fuze vs flash. What do they all have going for them. I understand the fuze and flash are lots more downmarket, but taking into account price which one(s) is/are best.]
also are the zen and/or zen x any good? |

I don't know how much experince you have with Creative but if you've had one before the Zen/X-fi has pretty much the same UI, which means you pick it up you'll know how to use it. I bought the D2 after waiting for the X-fi but I was back and forth for a month checking both out. I love the D2 and should have bought it the day it came out but I was coming from a 60g Creative Zen Vision M so dropping down to 32g and no integation on the SD card would have irritated me to no end. Plus the Zen/X-fi have no video out which I used on the ZVM all the time. If I had less media that I wanted with me a Zen would have been Awesome but in my situation I would have been pinging off full all the time and I wanted an out. I listen to alot of podcasts with mine and on the D2 I just have an 8g SD card that I change out for them. But on the Zen there was no bookmarking on the SD card and that was the dealbreaker for me.

And what would the best be for ~$100

It's hard for anything to touch the Fuze at around $100. It is the best deal in that price range because of the SQ and Micro SD slot.

To sum it up:
Fuze is basic w/great SQ, i7 is premium w/a focus on music, D2 is premium w/a music + video twist. D2 pretty much take the medal, especially w/the FULL sd library integration.
