Winamp problems

Overall I like the functionality of winamp but these problems I'm encountering are absolutely frustrating.

1. Takes forever to load. I have to click on winamp 20 times or wait a couple of minutes for it to open.

2. Displays the wrong artist information.

3. Cannot remove artists from media list.

4. Keep getting an error that says "Cannot save metadata: File is read-only". All of my other files are read only and they are able to have the id3 tags edited. Even if I try to uncheck the read-only box in folder properties, it just changes back to read-only then I can't edit any data.

I would really appreciate help because these problems are starting to get on my nerves and I might switch back to itunes because of this.
