Default Trouble with Media Monkey-Losing Audio

I downloaded the gold version, and all seems fine when I rip a cd, and then auto-tag, and then send it to my Sansa or Zen M, but...
Then I lose all sound on my computer. Can't play any files.
I have had to use restore, before I downloaded Media Monkey last week, before I get sound.
Is it corrupted, or what?
I can't play my music files on it either.

Also...should I download that last firmware from Sansa, or should I just ignore the Updater? I'm using Rockbox most the time anyway, because I am converting to flac files.

What happens if you uninstall and reinstall MediaMonkey? What did you use before? What file type are they? Is it FLAC like you said later on?

You do not really need the newest firmware for the Sansa since you have Rockbox. You can just uninstall that Sansa Firmware Updater app.

I too have found issues with MediaMonkey and Winamp getting corrupting while testing multiple players in MTP mode (not at same time, individually). If I only use one player, all seems to work fine in MTP, it’s only when I introduce a second MTP device after the first has been removed that seems to corrupt the media player being used. I have gotten away with removing the corrupted files and the media player works fine again, but the best fix is as advcomp2019 stated, delete program and reinstall. This is one of many reasons that I am so adamant about MSC, I never have problems …

Default Difficult to source the problem, WalkGood has a good point

I will try to uninstall and reinstall the MM, but I think is it like WalkGood says. I did not have problems until I was working with TWO players. I also don't think it is just a MM problem, as I tried downloading DbPowerAmp, and this happened as well. It is very difficult sourcing the problem, as I had to download files the most in my life the past week, because I wanted to install my XP Pro in my new laptop, and HP/Compaq would NOT help and supply the appropriate drivers!
"What do you mean? You don't like the Vista we put on YOUR laptop with no recovery disk? Just be happy we supply any OS."

By 4 A.M. on Saturday night, after 14 hours at it, I was finally able to find and implement all the drivers, the last being those AUDIO drivers. But I don't suspect those, as if I do a PC restore, for Friday, my audio still won't work. I have to do it before the MM download and install last Wednesday. Also, I did not have this problem when I was using basic MM. It was the Gold edition. I emailed MM, but no response in a week.
Thanks, guys, I've loaded up the Sansa e240 with some tunes, and am heading up to Yellowstone tonight for a few days of bicycle touring. Would have liked to have loaded up some video, but don't have the time to learn how to do that before I go (it is SO EASY with the Zen M!!!)
