I'm not sure if this is the right place....
Okay, so I downloaded a couple albums, in .tta format, in the folder was a hour and 35 min. song and a .cue file. I look up how to separate them but the methods described sound like they would some of the sound quality. So my question is how do I separate this album without losing the sound quality. I was thinking uncompressing the song some how and then separate them, then recompressing it into FLAC format some how. Oh, I forgot to say, the purpose of uncompressing was to get it into a song closest to the orignal form and then recompressing it into a format another lossless format supported by my PMP, like FLAC. Thanks in advance.

I generally just open lossless cue files in foobar and then use its converter to make FLACs of the individual tracks.

Thanks for the input, I tryied this but I converted the songs to .WAV and the kbps went up. Is that odd?

No. Uncompressed files are larger then the compressed files. Converting it to FLAC instead of WAV would make the most sense though, since you'll get smaller files.

Oh, so when I "converted," the song all I really did was uncompess it? Thus quality up and larger size?
So if I were to convert the orignal song to FLAC would quality go down?

TTA is TrueAudio, a very exotic lossless codec nobody in their right mind ever uses (FLAC and APE are more or less the commonly used lossless codecs). When you uncompress it to WAV you will get bigger files, but the quality will stay the same.
This is a very good app for splitting CUE sheets: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime...Splitter.shtml And just for the record: for splitting MP3 files without loss of quality you use this: http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html Saratoga is right, best you convert the TTA stuff to FLAC, so you have it in a commonly supported format.

Alright, so instead of going...
.TTA -> .WAV -> .FLAC I should just.. .TTA -> .FLAC and there wont be loss? BTW I'm converting and spliting with foorbar2000 with .TTA extension.

There won't be any loss either way, since all formats are either lossless or uncompressed.
