Default Body has expanded .. why?

The lower body of my 30g gigabeat has expanded, and I'm unsure as to why this is. Around the directional keys ( the + ) as become fatter.

Why has this happened? It has been in my car while it was warm but not hot. No direct sunlight etc .. no water etc ..

Is it fixable?

Ta.

Sounds like the battery has expanded. You will need to open and replace it with a new battery.

I agree with advcomp2019, it does sound like the battery, was it charging when you left it in the car? I know sometimes the car chargers can go funny and send too much voltage to the battery, thus causing the issue you are seeing. If you want you can contact Toshiba and find out if they will fix it.

Thanks guys.

No, it wasn't charging in the car (currently don't have a car charger for it).
Is it possible to change the batteries? I didn't know that .. will contact toshiba and see what they say

Here is one page: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie...BatteryUpgrade, but since you have not said what Gigabeat you have, I am guessing it is a S series tho. Here is a page with the S series battery info: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie.../GigabeatSInfo
