my "forward" arrow button (the right one) doesnt work properly most of the time. while playing a song, if i press it, it usually goes BACK, or sometimes BACK then FORWARD (so you end up doing nothing), and rarely does it actually go forward like it should. I actually see the reverse icon appear on the screen. Every other direction is fine though. this happens anytime too, not just while playing music. navigating menus becomes a real drag when the right arrow doesnt actually go right. It worked fine for a while when i first got it.
It happened with 1.6 firmware, and ive upgraded to 1.8 and it still happens. any ideas? thanks |

Re-load the firmware? Sometimes this solves the problem.

Maybe a hardware problem, there could be a solder joint that's touching the reverse somehow, and when you press the forward, it goes back!
Did you drop it at all?

ive never dropped it (at least not on anything hard) but i do keep it in fairly tight jeans pockets...i dunno if that could do something. will update if i figure something out. |
