Looks like it's "drag to unlock" the keypad  , see that blue glow, drag that to the lock icon to unlock the keypad.Video available here.

seems a tad slow to react sometimes...the thing that makes the touch and iphone so nice is that the processor can handle what the interface is doing...you make a touch, it reacts...hopefully this is just cause it's still finishing up design...not like i'm getting one anyways...
