Streaming on e200?

Hello Anythingbutipod people, this is my first post so don't criticize me please. Anyway, I was looking for a microsd card to buy in the near future for my e200 and i found out that there are wifi microsd cards (http://www.spectec.com.tw/sdw823.htm) to upload pics from cameras and to get on internet on some pdas and smartphones. I was thinking, that since e200s have microsd slots and rockbox has so many apps, would there be a way to access the wifi from the microsd card in rockbox and stream audio from a pc, or an internet radio provider?

Yeah, not very helpful,but thats what i thought, since it does say the wifi micro sd is sdio and i dont think e200 supports SDIO

What type of input? It doesn't work on the e200 series or any sansa. You wana read more on SDIO click here.

Input like why it wont work, hardware and software wise, because i think its only hardware since anything can be programmed to do anything, plus it was was just an idea that i thought would be cool if it worked..so yeah. Why wont it work? and you said it doesnt work, have you tried it?

The Sansa's microSD slot can not do not that. Plus, you need to write a WiFi driver for Rockbox, too.

AFAIK there is both hardware to support SDIO and firmware. Only device implimentation that I've read about are cameras to send pics back to pc via wifi ...

hmm..would it even be possible to do something as simple as those kind of cameras can do? like if you recorded something and saved on microsd w/wifi, could it automatically upload?

yeah so im posotive it wouldnt work now after some research, but it would be cool, guess ill have to get a player with wifi

ive asked about this on the rockbox forums and they said that this probably wont be happening any time soon if at all.

I'd imagine it'd be possible, now whether or not you could actually get somebody to spend the time and money on getting it work is another thing.
