Default MP3Tag + P2 = Failure? [Pics included]

Hello, I have taken a screenshot of a song in MP3Tag.

It's a song called 'When the Sun Goes Down' by the Arctic Monkeys.

As you can see, it's fully tagged, with album art.

Now I put that song on my P2...and let's take a look...

*Gasp*...no album cover!

But now look at this.

This is another song from my MP3Tag...

The song's called 'Hunting for Witches' by Bloc Party.

As you can see, like the previous song, it's fully tagged with its album art. (By the way, I added the album art myself to both songs via iTunes [drag and drop the picture]...no other software was used). Alright, and now let's take a look at it on the P2...

Voila. Album art. Now I can't seem to figure out what the problem is!

Anyone spot my problem here?

Thanks

The only difference I can see is the first one is a PNG file. It would appear that the P2 does not support that format for album art inside an MP3. Use Photoshop/GIMP/whatever to re-save as a JPEG and see if that works.

Oh, snap! Never noticed that! Damn. Time to redo all my album art TT...I use PNG for iTunes because PNGs, in my opinion, give more colourful, crisp, and clear images than a JPEG picture would...

Thanks, though. I'll try it out and let you in on the update!

Sorry for double posting, but I have another problem. In MP3Tag, I removed the old PNG covers, and added JPEG files as covers. However, when I click on another song, and come back to the song I just changed covers, in turns back into PNG!

Help!

Edit: Nevermind I'll just let EmoDio do the job...

you have to save the file each time you change the album art...

save file as jpg, delete the png or move it, delete the art in all tracks, replace art in all tracks, and im not sure but there may be a resolution limit/specific size it has to be

theres no reasosn to use mp3tag. if you just right click on the song and go to properties, go to summary and hit advanced, you can edit from there also. fast and effective

Yes, if you're interested in changing one file at a time. Some of us have other things to do with our time than hand tag thousands of mp3 files.

Heh. I had so many songs too. So what I did was open up MP3 tag, and switch to album view, which grouped all the tracks in one albums together. From then, it took me about half an hour to get new JPG covers from the internet and replace all my albums with that...I had about only 60 different albums so it didn't take me too long...

But in that case you can not add a photo.

sometimes i find you might need to do a manual library update for updates to the tags to reflect on the player... don't ask me why since the player shows updating library when u disconnect the usb but there's been times where i fixed typos on titles or change album art only to have it display the old stuff until i manually updated
