Hey all. Just got my Fuze earlier tonight and have run into one small problem (very small). Sadly, I don't know how to create playlists for the Fuze on my Mac.
All the tools discussed in the forum are for Windows or Linux, so I am stuck at what I should do. I know I can just drag and drop my music to the Fuze with it in MSC mode, but I do not feel like setting up my playlists up by hand. All my playlists are in iTunes (not much else to use to play music on a Mac until Amarok is ported over) so I'm not sure what to do.If anyone can help me out (would be great if it was tonight) I would greatly appreciate it. |

You can drag and drop your songs to the Sansa.
As for playlists, as far as I know, the Fuze in MSC mode uses normal m3u playlists. |

Update: I found a script that is supposed to copy playlists and music to a USB device. (http://ridesforall.com/archit/sansaitunes/runOnMac.html) It works, only kinda. The playlists are converted to .pla and copied to the \PLAYLISTS folder, but when they are viewed on the Fuze, it doesn't work. I am pretty sure the playlists are currupted. Here is one of them: Code:

The PLA files seem totally corrupt. The MP3s seem to be working thankfully. I'll have to think of another day to do this. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. I don't think a PLA file will work in any case. I believe you have to use m3u playlists in MSC mode.
Looks like aTunes might be able to do it. I gave it a try on Windows and it will connect to MSC devices and let you save playlists in m3u format. The only issue is that it appears to put full paths (including drive letter) in the m3u file. Not sure what the paths will look like on a Mac. So you might need to edit the saved m3u file with a text editor to correct the paths. |

Anyway, I think I will wait for Amarok. I do not like using Java for anything multimedia (if you have ever programmed in Java, you would understand why). : Sighs: I'll have to continue what I am doing ATM then. Thanks for the heads up though. |

I know it's been a while since you posted this, but I've uploaded a new version of scripts that address the issue you mentioned above. If you still use your sansa with a mac, you can give them a shot: http://www.ridesforall.com/archit/sansaitunes/ feel free to shoot me an email (archit.agarwal***********) if you need help.
