Default Silicone Case Modification for the Pilot - Headphone plug doesn't seat

I was having a problem getting my plug to stay seated while using the silicone case for the Pilot. I tried using a sharpening steel heated with a torch but the silicone is heat-resistant. I was concerned about aesthetics so I decided not to attack it with a razor or scissors.

Then the lightbulb went on.

I took a hole-pinch and gently "nibbled" at the perimiter of the hole and now my Shure E3c's (and the video-out composite cable) are seated flush with the player.

I hope this helps someone.
