Audio Technica 9Styles ATH-CK6 review.
Price:$68 at Domayne Contents: carry pouch, S/M/L tips, 3 kinds of loops. Introduction: Audio Technica ATH-CK6 "9Styles" is a in-ear earphone which uses a aluminium housing for anti-vibration and better sound quality-a bit like MDR-EX90. Design and features These are known as 9Styles-because you can change the wearing style by putting on a different "loop". The design of the earphones itself is minimalist-no Sony style angled design, just the familar IEM style. The earpieces features a aluminium housing for anti-vibration and improved sound. Mine are in blue. I really enjoyed trying out different style combinations-depending on how I want to wear these. The tips are easily put on and are supersoft-very nice! The loops are attached to the end of the earpiece and are easily removed and changed. These are: *earbud style (round) *small loop style *large loop style A carry pouch is supplied-it is made of a nice material. Cord plug is straight shaped. Sound quality: Sound quality is very beautiful:nicely balanced highs, mids and lows and just the right amount of bass, better than Sony's MDR-EX85. Using this with a NWZ-A815, I found the EQ set to custom 1 and VPT off to be the best settings for the ATH-CX6. With a S705 and ATRAC encoded music, it was supremely good with Rolling Stones tracks-nicely balanced and at the right volume (maxed but not so lid as to cause to hearing loss). Listened to Michael Jackson and The Beatles-the sound reproduced was supreme in quality and clarity. Overall: I was extremely impressed by Audio Technica ATH-CK6 "9Styles" because these are well built in-ear headphones with 9 different ways of wearing them. I give these:10/10. babya,
I’m making assumptions here with questions to you … Seems like the plastic tab or “loop support” as they call it would just get in the way, can it be removed? Does it get in the way of deep insertion for max isolation? And how is the isolation? Have you tested them on the go, like: biking, running, skating, etc … Any microphonics? How’s the build quality? What source did you use? Are they oem/pl, etc … BTW, they are available in the US for around $46.99

No-they don't get in the way at all-isolation is quite good, no microphonics, nice build-housing aluminimum and plastic (where tips go on).
Bought at retail. Used several Sony MP3 players and a micro hi-fi system.

Before I bought these, I considered looking at Sennheiser and Shure-their models were more expensive-$80-$140, and not on at a sale price (aso out of the price range of $40-$70 that I set myself).
