![]() ![]() ![]() Folks, I found a program that will solve the problem of emodio being choosy/picky converting .mp4, .avi, .mov files!! The name is: jSVIcoder And here is the link to dl it: http://svicoder.sourceforge.net/ If you can find it there, you could pm/email me and i'll send the installer file to you. I've tried this, and it works! It has no virus ^__^ I'm not a seller of the software as it is a shareware: Unlimited conversion of file. I'm promoting this simply because it SOLVED my problem with emodio. I usually dl videos from youtube via vixy.net or keepvid.com and emodio can't read my video files. I don't know why but it has always errors >_< The only thing I noticed is that the software won't convert files at least with Korean filenames. What I did is I renamed my files with the corresponding romanization. The files perfectly play on my T10 with good quality of a/v. Btw, I'm not sure if some of you have already discovered this great software. I haven't read any post about this converter so far. We can share this great software to other yepp users. ^__^Enjoy ^___^ |

I'll have to try that I'm up for anything that works.
I tried the vixy.com thing and it worked. What would you use to get this: http://bigpicture.typepad.com/writing/fighting_man.mp3 into mp3 form? Or at least download it to the P2? Last edited by rearview; 08-18-2008 at 01:05 PM. |

I have to say thanks for that little program. After endless tries using emodio, and getting videos that stutter and are out of sync, this is a godsend. My only problems so far have been converting flash files from youtube and them being out of sync, but i can live without those.
Once again thanks for this little slice of program heaven ![]() ![]()

EmoDio works fine for me only the first time...so what I used to do was uninstall, then install again and converted...Ha-ha... Now i can transfer movies without getting a headache. Thanks again. |

Imao.
I'm doing a software under Ubuntu (for Ubuntu , Kubuntu ...) which will be called Ubuntu Media Studio. For now, I'm coding it in Ruby / Qt. As the svicoder works in shell, it's easy to do a gui app with it. But for now there is no more development on it :P

hmm... I've been using eRightSofts SUPER to convert videos for my Nokia N80 for a year now. SUPER is a frontend for ffmpeg, ffmepg2theora, MEncoder and producer, making it able to convert just about anything to most common and some uncommon formats. A quick glance at sviencoders page and i found a phrase saying that sviencoder is only a frontend for MEncoder, so super should have this feature. I've asked on their forums, but i'm not sure they will implement it just because i asked for it, or maybe it's just a "hidden" feature. Does anybody know?
EDIT: .svi = .avi *facepalm*. Using SUPER i converted using .avi (container) -> MPEG-4 (codec) -> XviD (4CC) for video, and mp3 for audio, and it works fine ![]() Probably works fine in other modes aswell, ripped a DVD to .avi -> MPEG-4 -> FMP4 and that works too.. Just rename the .avi to .svi, remember to turn on extended filenames tho if you haven't. Last edited by UlldotteN; 10-04-2008 at 04:32 PM. Reason: solved the puzzle on my own |

absolutely stunning piece of software.
Since I use Linux at 360 degrees, I'll try it out as soon as I can (read: out of the office) And I'll report how it works. Thanks! ![]() -------------------------- Edit It works and it works very very well IMHO the problem remain the same, at least for me, how do I transfer them? Banshee-1 doesn't seem to work...it simply do not see any media file with svi extension. I'm starting the search right now.... ^__^ and the search ended here. I had the solution under my nose. Gnomad2. simple and easy. Once converted a movie in svi format, the P2 recognize automatically after the transfer. End of problems and bye bye Emodio. Sooo good!
