Need Help putting songs on P2

Ok well i started off by clicking new play list on the box on the right of windows media player, then i drag songs over oo the play list, then i save it, i go over to sync and select the play list, and sync it, and it goes through but when i go onto the p2, and go to playlists it says theres no play list, and all the songs are in the p2, except not on a play list, like i can make a seperate playlist for everything on the computer but wen i put em to the p2, there all mixed up
