I dropped my Creative Zen MicroPhoto, and the touchpad became unresponsive. I can turn it on, transfer files and all that, but overall, I cannot play it.
I actually then tried to bang it around, but nothing would sense the touchpad. I ended up with the splash screen problem, and solved it with the Caveman method. But the touch pad is still unresponsive, rendering the player un-playable. As well, I can switch it on, Lock it, but that's it. I gotta rip out the battery to turn it off, or it idle switches off itself. ANY SOLUTIONS!?!?!? THX Last edited by BMNB1tch; 08-04-2008 at 04:38 PM. |

Hello BMNB1tch. Welcome.
I would start by opening up the ZMP and checking to make sure that the touchpad connector isn't just loose from the drop. These should help: ABI thread on opening the ZM/P Hardware Zone's ZMP Disassembly Another disassembly thread

That's exactly what it is was man. I had to re-plug the touchpad ribbon chip, after opening the thing. Thanks for the help. And to think it was time to join the Apple I Pod cult. ANYTHING BUT IPOD! |
