I have a few extra batteries.

I posted this in the wrong forum. I thought I was in the Zen Vision:M forum.
Sorry. But please read my listing farther down. It may help.

I tried contacting a1itp.com via email. I tried resending to all their email addresses. It's been a week and I have received no reply. I doubt if I will get one.

@creative_mp3_tech : may I know where you were able to purchase your extra batteries?

In the meantime, I will try some of the battery stores here locally if they can customize a battery for my ZVW.

I will not be buying any new Creative players any more.

Just a reminder that the original Zen Vision batteries will fit the Vision W with a little bit of modification. There are threads on here where people have modified the extended battery for the Zen Vision to work on the Vision W as well.

Default Vision W Battery Replacement Available!!

Okay, I have some good news for you.
You can purchase Zen Vision batteries and use them on your Vision W.
All that you need to do is take the battery out of the new Vision casing and put it into your Vision W. It is pretty easy. I have done it several times. It works great!
So just go ahead and buy the Vision battery and give it a try.
If anyone has questions on how to do it, just ask.

I tried out using a battery for the Creative Zen Vision for my Creative Zen Vision W based on the advise of fellow posters here. The one I got was not OEM. Like they said, the battery only had four notches in the back, as opposed to the six for the W battery. I had to carve 2 additional notches on the battery using a cutter and a small screwdriver; it took some force to finally fit in the battery to the player. But after 3 charge-discharge cycles, I can say that it works just fine.

This is what I bought from EBay, in case others would like to do the same:

Thank you again to those who provided advise on this idea.

My first Vision replacement battery (a 3300mAh one, which hopefully will keep on proving to be a nice jump in in capacity) was too big to fit the ZVW casing.
Rather than take the path you describe I just took out the middle 2 pegs in the ZVW.
As you say a little pressure is required (it's almost like pressing out a slight curve in the batter unit) but when it locks onto the 4 corner pegs and engages the clip it's snuggly on & isn't going anywhere.

Given that I have (despite extensive looking) never seen a ZVW replacement battery it's good to know that Vision batteries (of several sizes) can be used.

Default 3300 on Vision W

I bought one, cut the center clips off...got it on but the my zen doesn't see it. I've heard it won't if you have udpated the firmware. Do you know if this is true. Can you give me some guidance?

Default Zen Vision W Battery

Okay, I have posted this several times.
You can buy new batteries for your ZVW!!
Just buy any Zen Vision battery (not the hi capacity).
Then when it comes in take the 4 little screws off and take it out of the casing.
Do the same thing with your ZVW battery and swap the batteries.
THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.
I have done this at least 50 times.

Anyone who needs help with this may email me and I can send them photos on how to do it.
