my ZVM freezes probaly twice a week, i have 1000 songs on it. people have told me to format it but how do i do that. can anyone give me directions??

Look at the ZVM tips and tricks. Will tell you all. You might want to try a disk cleanup first.

![]() Yes, boot into Recovery Mode and do a Cleanup. This should repair any database inconsistencies that may be causing the lock-ups. If the Cleanup is not successful at stopping the lock-ups, then maybe a Format can be tried. However, given the fact that you won't lose any files when reinstalling the firmware, I would try that before doing a Format as well. <o></o> If you do a Format, keep in mind that the ZVM will erase your 1000 song library, so make sure you have them backed-up on the computer to re-sync or transfer when done.
