Default Dark screen in Video with new firmware

Hi

Today I recieved my Samsung P2 and I'm really satisfied, except one thing. After uprgading firmware to 5.08 (I had 1.30 before) my screen get very dark when watching video. It is bright in menus, music, games etc.
I also checked - on 4.13 it is the same. When I came back to firmware 3.15 it is GOOD, as it should be ....

Is it any rescue for me or do I have to stay on 3.15?

And sorry for my English, it may be not perfect.

when you are watching a video, go into the menu. there should be an option called "display". click on tat and u can adjust the brightness of the video from there.

Yes, now it works - but I haven't had this option before.
I had to do sth like this:
go back to 3.15, than upgrade to 4.30, than upgrade to 5.08 - now I have this option.
Thanks

hehe no problem
the brightness option is something that was only implemented in the 4.13 and newer firmwares, so of course u wouldnt have it in 3.15

Just as a sideline to that...when I use the P2 in sunny conditions, the screen is just too dark to operate properly. I would like to see the option to increase the brightness even further to compensate for sunny conditions. Heres hoping but I doubt it as it would drain the battery more...but to have the OPTION at least would be a good idea.

hehe, yer, but what I mean is that I have a digital camera and I can see the lcd screen perfectly well in sunlight due to its ability to up the brightness a lot more.

Read up on Transflective LCD Displays which is what is likely in your Camera. The P2 does not have one of these screens, therefore it will always appear washed out in direct sunlight.
