Fuze Expandable Memory.

Ummm I wanna test out my Fuze's expandable memory integrations . I just took my friend's microSD and i stuck it in (with no music) to see if anything appears on the screen, and it says Refreshing Media. But I don't see anything selection to go through the files in the microSD. Do I have to organize the microSD the same way the Fuze is? With folders such as music and etc?

It will integrates into with the main memory. How you put stuff onto the card it up to you.

LOL ohh okay sounds reasonable thanks Because i tried my friends microSD with his songs on it ( microSD from his cell) and it detected it and the songs were then in my songs list. Amazing how its like fully integrated. Thanks Alot

If i remember reading things right while I was searching for an mp3 player, the latest Creative Zen series will not integrate the songs on the SD card and on internal memory. That non-integration was enough for me to not buy it...

hi, can we put card of any size in the slot..like 8 gb card in 2 gb slot , or 4 gb card in 8 gb slot?..........if it is so then.......the 2 gb sansa fuze can be made 8 gb in low cost?....am i right?

So long as it's a MicroSDHC card, yes.

The internal memory can not be upgraded. It will only add the space via the microSD/HC.

I haven't tried this yet, but when it integrates the files, based on what advcomp2019 stated, it will add all mp3 files not in directories to the MUSIC listing. What if you want the files added to the AUDIOBOOK list. I know I could change the genre tag to Audiobook, but what if I don't want to change the tags? Will the fuze recognize an AUDIOBOOK directory and associate the files accordingly?

You are correct. The slot is independent of the internal memory. As long as it's Micro SD or Micro SDHC, you can put it in the slot, and the player will read it. Any card up to 16 GB (which is the largest currently available) will work.

I'm waiting for the 16 GB version to go down in price a little, and then stick it into my 8GB Fuze, for a whopping 24 GB fuze, take that 1st gen iPods

It could be, but since I do not have a Fuze, I am not sure, tho.
