Default I want to see my Album Art - what to do??

I'm using RetroLCD (really neat!) but the pic in the finished themes area showed Album Art - when I run it, it shows the Rockbox logo.

In order to see the AA, where should it be? what should it be called? what file format and what size should it be?

SLOWLY, I'm getting the hang of this Rockbox thing :-)

where should it be
either in the root folder or in the album folder.

what should it be called
either cover.bmp, <albumname>.bmp, or cover.widthxheight.bmp

.bmp

in this case cover.68x68.nmp

Thats great! I converted on file of albumart.jpg to a 100x98 bmp and it showed up just fine.

Is there any EASY way to convert a bunch of AA, in album subbies to cover.bmp???

here take a look at this: http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
all you gotta do is

1. set the output format to Bitmap
2. check mark and go to advanced options and checkmark resize
3. set width and height to 100 or whatever number you need, then uncheck keep aspect ratio and click ok

you can also batch rename so it is easier to name all ur images to cover.bmp
But if your music is not sorted into folders then you have to rename each image the same name as the song

GREAT - is there anyway to get the program to only convert "FOLDER.JPG" to COVER.BMP? There are several .JPG's in each subbie and I only want/need one converted.

well, if you would have checked the link i posted, you would have found out that there is a program called iRiver H3XX Album Art Manager in which you can specify the filenames to search for AND set the size the found pictures should be converted to, but you don't like checking links...

Gee, you know my likes and dis-likes so very well - as well as a fish rides a bicycle.

I re-read your post, which was actually contained useful information - who wrote it for you? But it did NOT contain the name H3XX Album Art Manager - just a slight omission - like serving dinner without the food.

H3XX Album Art Manager is not a bad program - has some problems, including with the "help file" if I could reach the author, I would tell him how he could improve it. No sense in telling you - pearls before swine.

What's that suppposed to mean? you wanted to know how to display albumart in your wps, everything that is relevant to this topic is in the link i posted. if you would followed the link, read the contents on the page and would have dealt with the topic, you would have seen the format conversion section which lists the tool.

I asked a question on a Forum at Rockbox.org and got my head handed to me. I sure hope I can get reasonable answers to newbie questions here :-)

Interesting, there are no posts at all by dr_howardfine at the Rockbox forums, but the member exists. Did you delete your post afterward or something?'

You'll get your head handed to you if you can't be bothered to follow the guidelines there, sure.
