I never use programs to put my songs in but rather just drag and drop them into the p2 music folder.

Try just drag and dropping them.

ok some steps you can take:

Step 1: try upgrading the firmware

if that does work, try to put the songs in again. If it doesn't work, go to Step 2.

Step 2: Uninstall the driver for the P2 and reinstall it again...follow the steps below.

Driver re-install steps:

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Double-click the device category, and then double-click your device (click the + on Windows Portable Devices then select the p2).
3. Click the Driver tab, and then click Roll Back Driver (or uninstall).
4. Unplug Samsung P2 after the driver uninstall is done.
5. Plug the p2 to the computer again

Step 3: After completing step 2 try step 1

if this doesn't work go to step 4

Step 4: Do a hard reset. (reset by pressing button at the back)

If no luck with any: contact samsung, as well as see if you can exchange the p2 with another one at the store you bought it at.

it says you're using SMS? you should use emodio. Plus if you don't like your results, you can always manually drag your songs into the desired playlist.
