Default So..is it worth getting this, this late?

I've been looking at this player for a long time and it's very impressive so far, and I like the custom skins. My question is, is it really worth it getting it now, when late this year, Cowon has the chance to release a better player than this?

I'm also really tied up whether or not to get this or the Samsung P2. Which is another solid choice, from what I've heard.

The P2 is a good player, but expensive for what you get and not expandable.

IMHO, the D2 is a far better competitor but the bluetooth on the P2 and the SDHC of the D2 make them apples and oranges.

Get the D2.

Bluetooth will almost never be that great of a feature. When you dole out lots of money for a pair of headphones you pay for the bluetooth not sound quality.

I don't think that the asking price of the P2 is all that unreasonable btw. Bluetooth is a new feature and if that's really what people want they don't have a lot of choices. Plus the overall design is slim, sleek and has a nice sized screen.

Neither player is perfect but the D2 is damn close.

I decided to buy the D2. There will always be a 'better' electronic device coming 'just around the corner'. I want to use the pmp now.

My finalists were the Samsung P2, Sony Walkman 829, Itouch, D2, or wait. The storage capacity and the way the D2 handles added memory was the clincher for me. After all, how portable is your music/video if you don't have the storage available.

I have a A829 and a D2 - the D2 is the better player. A829 is prettier, but the D2 is better across the board - especially the SQ. The A829 sounds very processed - the D2 is more natural and true sounding, overall a more satisfying vibe.

Too late? Just check what price discontinued Cowon X5L's go for on eBay nowadays... Quality never goes out of style.

Alright thanks guys.

One more question before I go...

Does it matter if you use different brands SD cards for better performance wise? If so, which is the best to use?

SDHC Class 6 cards should perform the fastest. Get a decent brand card like Sandisk, Kingston, A-Data, etc.. they should all be fine. NEVER format a SD card with Windows, always use this specific SD Formatter.

Just make sure it's a class 6 - faster access speeds (yes, it DOES make a difference - especially when syncing), and pretty much any brands will do. Just don't get 1 of those cheap Chinese knockoff cards - sheer disappointment!!! If a 32gb card is $50.00bucks right now then it really IS too good to be true.
