504 recording glitches/ DRM

I have a 504 40G and just got off the phone with the non-helpful tech team. I had an instance with a button cam record 36 files (av2, av3....av36) from one live recording and made them all copyright protected. I think the 36 continuous files (from the one setup) may related to a faulty travel adapter, and I can join them- once I am able to get them viewable on my computer to edit. Does anyone know a reliable DRM converter for this task and how can I prevent this DRM situation? I am up to date on firmware, I cleared the cache, error checked. Thanks for the input.
