Anyone know if they fixed the bluetooth issues some people were having? I haven't really had to many issues with mine dropping out while listening to music but, I heard some other folks where.

Well on the download page, it says that this is the beta release. (Yes, I can read Korean.)

^^^ I agree it's not final like everyone said on the 2nd page, even the samsung site said beta.

5.08 beta is also on samsung.com just incase you can't download it from the direct link.

ya on the samsung web site it says 5.08 is a beta so this cant be the final version and another release of the 4th bluewave is yet to come

What region firmware are you on?
You need to be on the Korean firmware and I dont think you can use the Rhapsody Channel in the Korean firmware

I am on the US FirmWare, 4.13. So we get no dictionary or anything for the US version? I have Rhapsody, can't alter the P2 so the Rhapsody doesn't work. I've also read that the Rhapsody Channels will work on the P2 - - but only if you buy the Best Buy version; Really like this player, but is this anyway to program the dang thing, where functionality and use are arbitrary?

This likely explains, as I have the US version, of how I've never been able to find the voice record function. Must only be on the Korean version. What a crock.

thx for the info tho. Guess using Rhapsody and/or US firmware comes with reduced functionality.

But afaik, Rhapsody only works on Best Buy players.
I don't use it, so I'm not completely sure.

You could just change your region to Best Buy?

Well my p2 came from Amazon, so I can't change it to BB AFAIK; looked around for the BB software online and did not find it...even if so, you would be reverting to an earlier firmware and losing gosh knows what.

But Rhap. does work on my player, just not the channels function. Hate to say this but this smacks of Apple's arrogance about locking out other developers and services...I can't get Rhapsody Channels as I didn't but it from Best Buy? Oh, I cannot get the voice recording, dictionary etc., as I have the US firmware? Oh, sure jump thu some hoops and DL the Korean version. . . but wait, now Rhapsody, the reason I bought the thing, won't work...

Really, it's BS. Just ordered a 4 GB Sansa Clip to use while running - won't buy another Samsung again if this is thier way of doing business. All this functionality, software, but hey, some can and some cannot use it.

This is a great device, and it's a true Ipod slayer - too bad Samsung has the Marketing of Micro$oft and the strategic vision of 1993 Sony.

You are able to download 5.08 (beta) off of samsung.com

Why would they release this when 5.05 is not fully released yet?!?

-Yes, you can change it to BB. And if you change it to Best Buy,
the Rhapsody channel will work.

-You can get voice recording if you upgrade to 5.05 or 5.08,
it doesn't matter what region you have.

-Dictionary & Subway maps, afaik, only come with Korean version.

I am having problems with the dictionary (full version). I download it from firefox and it does not show the time it will take to finish downloading and how big the file is. So it finished after a while and I went to extract the file and it said I need a password to extract it ?????? What? So I have no dictionary. PLEASE HELP!

I use the light version,
from when they first introduced the dictionary.
(2.08? or something like that.)

Try using the light version,
or did you absolutely need the pronounciation?

You do have KR/UMS right because if you don't it won't work...

I have EU/MTP and it works so the problem isn't there.
@RafterManFMJ What do you mean the files will not transfer to the root folder? Hangs? Shows error message?

Can I asume that the RDS works properly with 5.08?
I use the KR setting for the dictionary.
The international subway is quite cool too.

I've just update my P2 to 5.08 (EU version). I still have RDS (and it appears to properly work) and I can see Subway maps. I can't use Dictionary. I assume this last option is specific for KR config.... at least until a stable FW will be released.

The dictionary is KR specific.... I downloaded it yesterday (257mb) and thought I wasted 1.5 hrs, until I read Sassafras' region code change thread.
