Default new firmware (1.13) broke FM support

has anyone else experienced a lockup whenever they try to change fm stations with the newest firmware? I can't use my player at all for radio. everything else works just as before. very very frustrating.

I haven't bought one yet but I was wondering if you resolved this problem?

Have you checked out Creative's support page?

Funny thing is the shipping firmware on new units is 1.13.05 and contains FM recording. You just can't download it anywhere (so better hope you don't have problems that require a re-flash).

Did the previous firmware that allowed recording cause a buzz (like when the backlight is on)?

I don't think that's a firmware issue. If the backlight circuit is somehow inducing voltage into the headphone amplifier, or if the amplifier lacks adequate filtering for that sort of thing, then that's a hardware issue.

You know those Indiglo watches and clocks? I can actually hear when the backlight is activated. I don't think there's really any way to adequately filter such strong interference.

Actually I take it back. The backlight buzz was on my old Muvo, I can't hear it on my Nano+. But I do hear the buzz on the Nano when recording FM (even when the backlight isn't on).
