Default DAB Sensitivity

I have read conflicting reports about the D2's DAB reception. One saying that they could only find any stations when using the supplied earphones. Whilst another said it was the most sensitive DAB receiver they've seen.
I live on the English South coast, where reception of anything is difficult.
Is it worth me getting the DAB D2? Could I use it with a pair of PX100's?

Most of the people on here are Americans, and the US doesn't have DAB radio.

Actually, there are members from around the world registered here. They prob didn't see this post yet OR didn't have the answer to the question and didn't want to waste the OP's time with "guesstimates" to solve the issue. The latter, of course, is why I hadn't responded.

try this site

http://www.digitalradionow.com/statfind/mxr/checker.php

put in your postcode and it will tell you if dab stations are good in your area , if most are ok then they should all work fine with D2

When i got mine i upgraded the firmware to 4.57 right away, and i noticed dab radio problems of it freezing or making whining noises in the player

Since going back to 4.54 firmware and then using 4.55 firmware i have had no problems at all with dab radio stations it finds all 37 i can get in scotland including all bbc stations

so if you get it you should at least have 30 days to try it out and if you find your reception is poor you can send it back.

But everything should be fine and you can enjoy loads of dab radio and record it as well.

I use the in ear phones in the link below and they work good as an ariel

Thanks for the concise reply cleverbloke.
