Help Does 16gb SD work?

Just wondering, before I shell out 70$ for a 16GB SD card.

Does a 16GB SD card work?

ABI Review:
The SD slot is arguably one of the best hardware features of the D2. With a recent firmware update it supports newfangled SDHC cards, currently available up to 8GB.

I also read it does.

So does it?

Cheers!

Yeah, welcome to ABi! My A-Data 16gb card works quite well also-- no matter what card you get, try to make sure it is at least Class 6, or 6mb/s, or you may experience issues.

What issues are you talking about?
AFAIK, the only noticeable differences between classes are the transfer rates.

You know, I'm not sure if it's still going on but cowon was offering an 8gb d2, 8gb sd card, and a case for $200 if you bought from them! Also, you sure that you don't want a 16gb? - check sig.

Yeah that is the exact card I am getting. Good to know that it works fine.

So I just bought the D2 last night.
8GB black, a 15$ accessories (case, care charger, sceen protector, wall charger), and I am going out to buy the SD card today after school.

The issues are the slow data transfer speed and reduced speed while the D2 is accessing the card. Nothing major - but a little slower across the board (and the D2 isn't exactly a slowpoke).

Quick tip that I got from the Audiophile forums - make sure you use the Panasonic formatter to format the SD card (I have an A-Data 16GB). Before I used it, I had a lot of problems (songs disappearing and very slow write speeds). After using the Panasonic tool, no issues for the last week.

(I used this on a secondary system with Windows XP, btw).

Yeah, I'll either have to find a linux program for the formatter, run it on wine or borrow my dad's computer. Good point. Thanks.
