Hi there, well, I messed up my sansa e280 (America). After upgrading my e280 with firmware 1.12.20P, but naming the firmware as "firmware.mi4", only the blue wheel is on. The funny thing is that, after the upgrade, the device started Ok. I even checked the firmware version, and it was really the one that I wanted. Then I started putting songs on it. When I restarted it to refresh the database, only the blue light was on. I tried the recover through "manufacturing mode", but Linux isn´t detecting my sansa.
Well, I took my e280 to a guy that fixes mp3 and stuff. He got one e250, and used one little part, that removable from the board. I don´t know what is called, but after fixing it on my e280, there was the beautiful "Sandisk" animation.
Since I´m here in Brazil, sending my sansa back to Sandisk with the risk of not getting a new e280, it costs me the price of a new device (yeah, international shipping is expensive).
