The Official UCI themes thread (Now with Tutorial)

Hey I'm new to this forum and would like some help:
I downloaded a UCI and when I went to EmoDio --> Import --> Open File
I didn't see the .uci file.
Can somebody help?

Well that doesn't make much sense. Do you (or anybody) understand why this happens to user created themes but not Samsung themes? There must be a way around it which enables people to download new icon/font sets without forcing them to use a default background...

Ben you didnt follow the steps right, you're supposed to click my computer then right under it you see 5 icons, click the folder next to the microphone, and THEN U IMPORT! :P

@Mike: Not neccessarily...I understand that your sticky is like this, but this is alot more user-friendly...just click and BOOM - THEMES! Also, there's no adds on this site, and download is quick!

Why don't you guys just come together and share the sticky?

Hi Ben and Welcome

Open Emodio, click the "MyPC" icon at the top left... then click the "folder" icon in the second row of smaller icons... at the bottom right of the Windows click the 'Add File" button and find the uci you downloaded on your hard drive, to add it to the list view.. highlight that same uci and press the blue arrow on the right to transfer the uci to your P2.

Make sure your P2 is connected when doing this and have the right window pane showing the folders on your P2... you should transfer the uci to the MyPack> UCI folder

I updated it as ppl add more and there is currently 21 UCIs

I will just upload the UCI's if they're tested and you're sure that they will work.

lets see.. how do you upload and download these themes?
Getting It To Your P2:
1. Download It (obviously)
2. Save to Desktop
3. Extract folder in desktop
4. Go to emodio player
5. Click My Computer, and right under you see a bunch of icons, click the folder resembling ETC.
6. Import the folder into your player
7. Highlight all the themes you want on your mp3 player, right click them, and click transfer to problem
8. ENJOY YOUR THEMES

Well i haven't really got round to playing around with this but will do soon. Looks pretty cool.

Thanks for posting up the UCIs so that people can grab them without having to use Emodio to get them.. After 19% download using the emodio "send to device" tab they error out on me.. So thanks for giving me and other folks a way to get them on our P2s.

What bugs me though, is that I was hoping that we could make custom UCIs with the "my skin" and "cosmos" themes as well, instead of just the "matrix" theme.. I only really use the "my skin" theme so that I can have a nice big picture on my screen.. Maybe they'll open that up in a future update although, I doubt it.

You've made sure that the uci's are in your MyPack>UCI folder.. on your P2?

Go to Settings>System>Default Set and reset the player this way.. it may help...

yes i know but when i go there none of the themes i put on show up, they only show in the my pack folder when i go to fole browser and they say not supported

lol... use to be, the firmware was the thing on abi that everyone looked at. now everyone bypasses it and goes straight to the EmoDio and UCI!!! That's freikin hilarious!!!

he probably has us or bb... he'll try to change to kr, brick his p2, look around for hours to find out how to fix it, just to reallize that there's a thread stickied to the p2 forum that tells how... I'm not saying that to be mean at all. That happened to me... before anyone know how to fix bricked p2s... lol
