Help Do we really need the crap that comes with it?

I'm talking about all this Creative software crap on the CD. I am dragging and dropping my files quite happily within Windows. I have no intention of running any of it. And what's with the orange sticker over the USB port warning of impending doom if you don't install the Bloatware first?

None of the Creative software/drivers are needed if you are using Vista or WinXP SP2/SP3 with WMP10 or WMP11 installed. These operating systems are fully MTP compliant meaning everything you need to connect, communicate, and transfer to the device is already installed. No need for extra "bloatware" to even be installed. In fact many times it actually causes problems like not allowing MTP to work correctly or not allowing software to see the Zen. If you weren't using an MTP compliant OS, then the software/drivers on the CD would be required, which is why there is a warning sticker on the USB cable. The CD software/drivers like to be installed before connecting the Zen to the computer. That way the computer has the drivers/software all ready to go when connected.
