I created this thread for anyone who wants to share any bugs they have encountered on their P2. Please list the firmware # (4.05, 4.13, and etc.), USB mode (MTP or UMS), along with the current region firmware you are running (KR; US; BB; FR; EU). This thread was not made for complaints regarding the P2, but rather for anyone who has dicovered any glitches worthy of sharing.

With my Nokia 5700 Xpressmusic, there has often been connectivity problems with bluetooth, sometimes I can make a call from the P2 and sometimes I get errors. Sometimes I can recieve calls, but the voice is scrambled.
This problem stayed, no matter what update arrived, so I would rather call it Nokia's problem and not P2s problem.
So what I mean to say is that some mobiles may not make a good pair with the P2 while some will.
I had a RAZR2 V8 for a while and it paired with my P2 successfully, but when I try to connect them, gives me some error..



With my W910(got a new mobile ) the connectivity has been as smooth as the smoothest thing on earth.


And btw afaik, the region of my P2 when it arrived was WA.

And this isnt an official thread until a mod makes it one(I hope so, we really need this kind of a thread, even I thought of creating one some time back, but I have memory problems...)

Some Pictures have no preview, but i can see it full.

For this to work, the pictures need to be saved with embedded thumbnails. That is why some are working for you and some not. Find a graphics program that has the option to save with thumbnails (I use Gimp), open the files and re-save them with this option turned on.

but the same pictures has got on my phone a preview.
My phone reduced the pictures to a preview without a thumbnail.
for me is that a simple bug and this can be fixed.
because why should the P2 the pictures can not reduce?

I've heard that when you transfer photos with SMS, they get a thumbnail...

Death is exactly right just put all your photo's on sms and transfer them back to your p2. Then they will all have thumbnails.

thus. I have 6 images. the weigh 2.06 MB
I want these images proportionally 100% and the quality must be 100%.
after convert these pictures 3.51 MB
So does the trumbnail & co. now 1.45 MB. ^^
and there are now only 6 images. at 200 images will be lots of wasted space. even for nothing.
the memory must therefore turn to suffer. it is better if these pictures simply be reduced. preserves the memory.
and it is not so cumbersome.
is also an UMS unit. and SMS, I can not in any PC from my friends. ^^
trumbnails these are useless and cumbersome. should be reduced.
you can say what you want. and pictures in the preview, there is also a need not really great programming.

yea no themes... plus when i updated my firmware for the first time it said that update resource file.. after that i copied the files again in my p2 and it worked (phew! that was close)

they show subway map in games (WTF??) and in prime pack (where it should be)

thatz a bug...

and i thought we could setup password for individual files but itz for the whole player... samsung took the easy way out.... c'mon samsung stop slacking

it has to do with compression method of jpeg. you've prolly saved your jepgs with Progressive Compression method enabled. try disabling it in your fave picture editor.

P2 White - Firmware US 5.05 - MTP USB Recognition

I have found that none of the 'myDNSE' files that I have transferred work. When trying to change the DNSE, it just says 'no file found'.

The Subway Map - What a waste of space. It is listed in the Games?!? It does not work and from what I have heard, you are better off looking at a 2 year olds impression of a map made from finger paint.

I have never believed in worrying in the little things, therefore, I just simply ignore these 2 features and use the other great ones that do work!

Actually, as stated somewhere before, the subway maps are out of date, but they are usable... You can zoom into the map (double tap) and even get additional info for some POI.

One thing I noticed when I left the subway map program: The Music was over (album was finished, and the P2 would have switched off eventually, was already finished, when I opened the subway map), but when I left the subway program, music started again...

And another bug: The volume indicator sometimes remains on the screen and is only faded a little. It happenes often, when the lock is set to screen only. Sometimes, even restarting the P2 does not help, the volume indicater is still visible...

Not really a bug just very annoying. When on shuffle, boh forward and back are shuffle. There is no way to switch to the previous song without going through lists. I's annoying when a new song is started and i can't simply go back.

I agree. From what I have learned, the P2 seems to function on memorization. Everything it displays is mechanical. For example, when ever you scroll through a menu, such as your library of songs, the same 8 titles are displayed in that section. This isn't a bug, but rather an example of one of the P2's idiosyncrasies.

i cant connect via bluetooth with other mobile phone, it recognize my phone, whenever it ried to trnasfer my with other phone, bluetooth icon for p2 doesnt appear
